It's time to prepare to issue your 1099s so you can get them out on time. We are happy to take care of this for you.
Here is How You Place 1099 Orders With Us:
PDF Instructions and Order Form - CLICK HERE - These are also the instructions, so go here first. Fill this out, then if you want to put the actual contractor info on the Google doc spreadsheet, go ahead! Google Sheet Input Spreadsheet - CLICK HERE. Make a copy and enter data. Submit the forms to us by attachments or a link.
1. Submitted requests must be on either the PDF for the ORDER, and then the actual data on either the same PDF form or the Google Sheet. 2. 1099s are due to be postmarked to your Subcontractors by 1/31/2023. 3. Our processing time is 5 business days. 4. The deadline for "on-time" processing is 1/17/23. 5. Any orders submitted after 1/17 will get completed and we can let you know turnaround time on a case by case basis, but we can't guarantee we can meet the 1/31 deadline. The earlier the better in this case as we do want to meet this deadline for you!
**Note - 1099s aren't automatic. They need to be ordered to insure we are the only ones issuing them. 1099 Distribution: We mail or courier the 1099s to you to distribute UNLESS there is not enough time. In that case, we will mail directly to your subcontractors, in order to postmark with required date for timely orders.
If you want the set to be mailed to an alternate mailing address to your home, for example, let us know that with the order, not separately.
We mail the final 1096 and 1099 to the IRS.
If you have any more questions, please send us an email with those questions to payroll@pinkpayroll.com. Laura Landry will be handling these, and her direct line is 858-217-5802.
Please do the proper research to understand when you need to 1099. Resources can be online, your bookkeeper, or CPA. The below links will tell you all you need to know. In general, you don't 1099 corporations and you do for subcontractors: individuals or sole proprietors, and for rent.
